this folding stock Inland would make a good urban hunting rifle. especially with two 30round banana mags strapped together. speer is making a rifle version 110 grain bullet the deep curl. I have some but have not taken the time to stuff them yet. The carbine is a very special weapon, for more than one reason. I am always amazed when people knock it, but yet think a mp5 is something special.

People relying on urban legends will call a .357 pistol good for carry, turn around and expect a carbine bullet to bounce off their windbreaker. Gotta call horse feathers on that.
The carbine is fully capable if doing what was intended for it, and doing it well. Would have no problem or reluctance with using it for similar purposes. Have owned a couple, both functioned properly and provided 5" groups at 100 yards.
Regarding the earlier comment about the carbine and M16 being crap?
2.5 years of combat, thousands of rounds fired w/o a jam would indicate otherwise. The problems had by the -16 early after its introduction in Nam where not the gun's fault, rather the brilliance of allowing bean counters to make decisions on ballistic issues.
I am..........disturbed.

Its just how Rick is. Stubborn old fart. I like the M14 better than the AR too, for a lot of reasons. But the AR has LOTS of good qualities about it.
Some folks just love dinging new stuff. Vs what they were used to. Never mind that he isn't still riding a horse to work...

I always wanted one, $100 bucks was just way too much, so I had to go without. I well remember when the DCM was selling them for $10 each back in the early 60's. I didn't have ten bucks to spare back then. I have a receipt for a Ithica gov 45 auto bought through the NRA/ Red Stone Arsenal in 1961 for $12.50 + $5.00 shipping. Recently let a nephew buy the gun at his price. I got the gun from a friend who purchased it in 1961. GW
