If you "set up" an original National Match 1903 there would be a large group of 1903 collectors standing in line to flog you! The A4 sniper was made up on the later 1903A3 rifles and weren't very highly thought of in their day. Better were the USMC M1941 snipers made up on selected 1903s with 8X Unertl scopes. There are copies of the '03-A4 are being made by Gibbs and others from refurbed drill rifles complete with replica Chinese made scope and mount....... and no pesky collectors to worry about!
