I have to say one of my favorite guns in my collection is my Winchester model 94/22. Got it on my tenth birthday and have killed many squirrels with it. Last Christmas my wife got me a matching 30/30. Cant beat a good Winchester!!

I had one in 22 mag that killed things bigger than it was supposed to. It was a nice little rifle for sure. Now I like them all, but REALLY like my Marlin 56.

Not really a Browning guy since I like my 9422's better, but I do have a pair of Brownings that I picked up not too long ago and have taken a liking to them. Nice looking Marlin there Fireball. I've never run across one of those in person before, are they pretty scarce?

We have a lot of guns to choose from. But when my son just wants to walk the farm he always grabs the 9422M. With large loop and peep.
Gun Shows are almost as comical as boat ramps in the Spring.

I'll probably get one some day. I just saw a like new 9417 HMR in a dandy of a fitted case. Gent paid 900 for it. I want a trapper in .22lr.
For now, I'll have my 1894M and 39TDS to collect dust in the safe...that tears it.
I'm going jack rabbit hunting this weekend.

http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/3628684/1Here's my 1894M. My TDS would just make you cry if you say what state it was in after loaning it to my brother in law and his kids. If I have have it re-blued, I'll post some pix. Lesson learned, never loan guns. Give them away as presents, but don't loan.

I shoot them all and the Trapper is just as accurate as the standard rifle and if i could keep just one it would be the Trapper.

Here is a 9422 Yellow Boy 22 Magnum I got yesterday from the estate I got the YB 22 lr from a couple weeks back. They made 4 or 500 of these but I am not sure on the number. I have a 9417 with the black and gray laminate stock coming also. Have a dealer wanting to get these from me.

I have the uncheckered walnut 9422M, and it is a great shooter. It prefers the lighter bullets, especially the 30 gr Win HP. Headshots on jacks are easy if you take your time.

Here is mine as a Kid I worked the whole summer of '85 to earn the $$ to buy my first rifle, this Boy Scouts of America 9422. never treated as a limited edition, but used extensively as my small varmint rifle on the ranch for many years. Only fault it has ever had was the fore grip tended to shift forward a bit. In hindsight, i wish I would have saved a bit more and bought the Eagle Scout version..

The wife got me a nice 9422M for our 10'th wedding anniversary, 12 years ago? I Liked it so much that I started shopping for more to stash away for my 2 boys. My oldest boy is now 16, almost 17. I gave him this one on his 10'th birthday. (yellowboy version 9422M) My youngest boy turned 10 recently and I was finally able to give him his which I purchased from our John Barsness on the campfire here.

My folks gave me a standard 9422 for my HS Graduation gift in 1973; here I am shooting it about a week before I left for Basic Training. I still have the rifle and it still shoots well.

Thats a cool pic. I bought two 9422 mags when I got back from the Marines in 1976 and still have 'em. Bought a 9422 a few years later thinking I would give one to each of my boys and keep one for myself. Never did. Now I plan to give one to each of my grandsons later on. Plenty of other rifles to share with my own boys. It was the little gallery pump (I still have one left) that first caught my attention at the shooting gallery at the State Fair of Oklahoma back in the early 60s.

The only trouble with my 9422 is that I don't want it to get scratched and it sits in my safe too long at a time.
I had horrible luck with my Marlin 57. My bother got one at the same time and his was as bad as mine. Trigger pull from the factory was over 15 pounds for both rifles. Dad had bought them for us, for walking bean fields all summer. He thought the safety was stuck on. With the narrow trigger, it was like a knife on the trigger finger. He worked on the rifles and got the trigger pull to be about 4 pounds. Shooting it after several years there were issues with powder/gas coming back into my eye/face when I shot the rifle. Finally it started falling a apart on it's own. Luckily I traded it off after piecing it together. Never have I seen a more worthless piece of crap that was branded a rifle. I hated lever actions and swore I never would get another. Then dad gave me a Model 92 Win and my attitude changed.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Here's my 9422M XTR, and companion .22 Mag., Charter Target Pathfinder. This rifle has been handy for calling coyotes in close, and the Pathfinder carries 2 rounds of shotshells up top for rattlesnakes.

Always liked the looks of the XTR's but never have owned one. Only 94/22 I've got is a Classic. Perfect companion to a Single Six.

I don't remember the year that I bought my first 9422M, but I think that it was around 1975. It was not an XTR, and it didn't have checkering. That one went by the wayside some time ago, but it has been replaced by its twin. I've been trying to find out when this one was made, and everything I've found is dead wrong. The lists show those made around my SN are XTRs, mine is not an XTR, So what gives~?

I have had one of the early 9422's that came out back in the late70's I think it was. It hangs in rack next to the door. Squirrels, birds, raccoons, feral cats, and an occasional dog that gets into the corrals that are harassing the mules get zapped.

the 94/22 is my all time favorite 22 rimfire. the semi autos seem like they are fussy with cleaning and malfunctions. the 94/22 just shoots, they are expensive now days. If I only had 1 22, it would be a 94/22
