What is the real reason for it drying up. I used to be able to find this in every shop in Southern, Utah, and us coyote hunters didn't have to fight over it... but what is up with it drying up like it has.....
I don't think the hoarders go crazy over 3-1/2 inch shells. Did the manuf. just cut way down on production or what.....
I lucked out and have found a little 3 inch mag, but seems all there is around here is 00buck anymore.
Is it like this everywhere, or just out on the west coast area.
I have heard the E.P.A. has closed down the 2nd largest lead mine in the U.S., so everyones telling me stock up on all the lead shotgun shells, cause it's all going up in price soon, and .22 ammo is going to get even more ridiculous... what do you guys know about this (fact or fiction). Just wondering what you might think.

NRA put out a statement that ammo companies will not be affected by closing that smelter. But who knows?

That smelter provided lead to car battery manufacturers. Bullet makers get their lead from recyclers

I would assume 3.5 inch buck is a seasonal run

now would be a good time to buy a MEC... just for future crunches... keep on had components to load a years worth... just in case... and keep shooting factory when you can, saving the hulls....
As to why? I'd bet #4 is not a high run item, run once a year as noted, or at least put to the side to do more high volume stuff in this shortage.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
