I bought 8 lbs of this stuff for $100 and will try it in my 7mm Rem Mag. Anyone had good results with it?

This was the original bulk powder of IMR4831. My lot was slower burning, so you could increase powder charges somewhat over I-4831.

Depending on the burn rate of your jug, it can be great stuff. I had an 8 pounder that produced stellar accuracy & velocity in 270's, a 6mm, and a 257AI. The next batch differed enough that I had to revisit my loads.
I have a batch of 140 gr AFrames loaded with that MR3100 that I am hoarding/holding for a moose hunt.
I now pretty much stick with 4831SC as it seems more consistent and has been more readily available.
I would expect pretty good results in your 7mm RM, particularly as you approach a full case of the stuff. Performance seems to improve with higher pressures.

Works great in my 270 Win & 6.5 X 284

In my 22" 270 Win under 1" at 200 yards with 130 Gr 3100 FPS.

150 Gr under 1" at 200 yards 2900 FPS and both loads same elevation 3/4"
apart.

Hope I do not run out of MR 3100.

I've burned a bunch of that powder. I think what I had was closer to H4831 in burn rate. Should work well in a 7mm RM, I think.

For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.
