I have the above rifle, minor handling marks, 20 rounds down the tube, tang safety with correct box and rings, . I was just wondering what it is worth? Thanks.

Around here, that's a $450-500 rifle. Saw one at the gun show last weekend sit through both days for $550 with a Leupold 3-9 VariX II on it.

I'd say a bit more. It's collectible, given it's light use, condition, and the correct box. And where are you going to find a .250 Savage bolt-action rifle? I'd think you could easily get $650-$700 for it. That's really not a lot for what you have.

They are the near perfect rifle/cartridge for carrying in your airplane when Wolf hunting. Would have bought one myself years ago when I ordered a couple for other guys I hunted with, but converted a 98 instead.

Yup, tough crowd up here. For whatever reason, Rugers don't bring that much. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it. Nice rifles.

There is a fair collector market for the tang RL and RLS rifles. Many made were in 308, so 250 Savage should bring a premium. A NIB might bring that $1,200 mentioned to a true collector, but one that's been fired is more in the $650-$750 range if it's in very good shape. I had most of them at one time.

The Ruger M77 Ultralight in .250 Savage is highly sought after by the collectors. I've noticed them over the past few years on Gunbroker going for $700 to $800 range. If yours has the original box, that'll add to the value.

I wouldn't mind having one. But I just had Mickey Coleman install and chamber a Rock barrel on a 700 action and have less than $1000 in that if I wanted to drop it in a wood stock. It's a mtn rifle contour 250.

Those on Gunbroker were sold for that? I've seen Remington Classics with asking prices maybe a little higher not sell. I'd like to see pics of OP's rifle.
