I have a friend who would like to sell his Remington 760 in .270. As far as I can tell it was made in 1957. I am trying to help him with the value. Any ideas as to its worth.
It has a Tasco 3X9 on it and is in 90 percent condition.
Thanks

Down this way, most guys ask about $300 for their 760's. But, I don't know if they ever get them sold. That model is not very popular around here.

Does it have the 5 diamond forearm stock or corncob? 18" or 22" barrel?

Their a tough one to move, they were very popular around this part of the country and were know as the Pa deer canons. That being said they are well made, accurate and fast. To the right buyer $300.00 max. The Tasco unfortunately adds zero to the value.

22 inch, barrel band sling swivel. Non-checkered grip and no 5 diamond fore end.
Keep the info coming guys, appreciate it.

If that Tasco is sitting in see throughs you can get an extra $50-$75 for it if you sell it in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

I was going to add, Subtract $20 if you leave the Tasco on. wink

If there is any proof of a man in a hunt it is not whether he killed a deer but how he hunted it.

As per bids and listings on GB, 300-400 but if it was one in .280, 1400+.
