I recently picked up a Marlin 27-S in 32-20 and was wondering how to find a replacement front sight for it. The front sight base is still there, but the middle blade that had the ivory tip on it is missing. Looked like it was soldered in maybe. Also the rear ramp for the Rocky Mountain sight is missing. What model of tang sight was made for these? I am looking for all three, preferably original. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Ok here's a dumb question --- Looked at pix of 27S in 25/20 No loading gate ????? Do you take the tube out to load it each time --???? Winchester has loading on action -- Remington pump loads on side of tube --- Where do you put the bullets in them --- Thanks

I believe they load like a tube fed 22rf, remove the tube and drop them in.

The outer tube slides out retracting the follower which exposes a loading port in the inner tube which is fixed to the barrel. Both tubes have almost full length slots. It is not a very good design IMO. often, at least on the 22's, the part that catches the follower will wear out or break rendering the magazine unloadable - the outer tube is not slotted full length so it cannot be removed without removing the complete assembly,
