I think the new Weaver Grand Slam 3-12x42 w/Duplex reticle has been available for at least a few weeks, maybe longer.

Its Weaver part number 800620.

Has any of the group handled one..used one.etc?

Experiencescommentsopinions..??

Thanks, folks

In my notes, scribbled on paper, it says the weight is 17 oz.

I don't know where that spec. came from, tho it sounds reasonable.

A tad heavier would be fine by me...........

They sure look nice, from what I gather the glass is the same as the Super Slam....if that is true then they will be a VERY good scope for the price.

This Weaver has certainly caught my eye. Another scope soon to hit the dealer's shelves is the all new Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x42 part number DBK 10017. This Vortex also has my attention.

I'm hoping to somehow get both of them in my hands simultaneously for a thorough "side by side" comparison. They both look like good scopes for the type big game hunting I do here in the West.

I think "street price" on each of these scopes will be in the neighborhood of $380-$400......
