I can see where the shoulders could of been destroyed by any other bullet. Core Lokts can do the same. Even when run slow. I think that with the Barnes, you would have the chance of less explosive expansion. I wouldn't be drinking the Barnes cool aid if it weren't for the lightweights @ high velocities. Like I said, I've been wanting a 243, but don't see the need with 110 Barnes in the 308. Yahoo- 243/308. I also have a 270/308= 130gr. TTSX.
