GI bill, mid 1970s.
Community college in Md. Major: staying awake after working all day listening to the same stuff I listened to in high school. Minor: bong.
The big um.... the U. Of Md. Major: pre forestry. Minor: divorce, coeds, disolute living.
Years later, Not A University. NAU, Flagstaff, Az. Major: just finish with a damn lib. arts for the piece of paper.
Didn't graduate. Lacked 15 hrs. credits. Wife #2 and I started our own business and family. Got too busy to go back.
That business and another we started set up our two kids in their lives.

Delta community college, 1988-1990 for mechanical engineering. Went part time while working full-time in construction, never even got close to graduating.
Don't know if it applies here, but I've also apprenticed as an HVAC installer and technician, but haven't pursued the State test for licensing. During the same time period I apprenticed as a plumber at which I became a journeyman in about 2000 and later a Master and finally, a plumbing contractor.

Ex Brother in Law and a great guy, went to college for music. Then played trombone in some symphony. Smart guy who leaned Russian along the way and the government grabbed him to interpret intercepted messages. He would translate and report directly to the Pentagon.
Did that for quite a few years and finally had enough. Married a girl from Maryland whose family has a truck farm. Which is what he does now.

Graduated HS at 16 and went to work the next Monday. Driven by lots of colleges since but never spent a day in one on business. Interesting in that every job I ever held, required a college degree.
Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

Private college. Dual majors in Education and Bible with a concentration in History and a Math minor. Taught HS math for a few years. Liked teaching and the kids for the most part. Other stuff drove me away and I haven't been back. Work in construction now. Between keeping an academic scholarship and work study (plus never less than 19+ credits a semester) didn't have time for any fun. In retrospect, would've been just as well off going to a party school!

La Tech University - 2.5 years. Was invited not to come back because they had some sort of academic standards they had to uphold.
Texas A&I University - BAS History with Ag. Science Minor.
University of Houston/Victoria - MEd Education Mid-Mgt.
The above spanned the years from 1973 - 1989. I received many degrees in "Hard Knock" schools interspersed in those years. It was all worth it.
In my next life I will be an orthodontist.

2/3 of a BA in Communications at Weber State University in Ogden, UT, left at end of junior year. 16ish years later, went to Pima Medical Institute in Denver, CO and received an Associates of Occupational Sciences in Radiography.
