Holy Crap!

How do you respond when someone proudly posts pics of what they killed and had mounted, and are obviously BLIND about the horrible job someone charged them for? sick

I mean it's like someone showing you a picture of their ugly kid, for Chrissakes! You can't TELL them they have an ugly kid, for crying out loud. shocked

It seems that most of the really bad examples come from the predator end of taxidermy...

I'm getting scared to even look at those threads anymore. It looks like someone ran over an inbred bobcat with a sheep's foot roller and someone found the animal a week later.

Bobcat-style.

It's like doggy-style, but with a just-got-caught look.

Now that would have me cowering in the bedroom and calling 911 for help - obviously possessed.

I had a friend invite me into his house recently to show me his Whitetail mount from his Nov. 2012 deer. The thing had an impressive non-typical rack, but the mount looked like a cross between Marty Feldman and Frankenstein (stitching like a baseball). Not wanting to rain on his parade, I just said "great rack", and left it alone. -TomT

I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while. That bear was surely done that way on purpose, eh?

Was that bear kilt with a guillotine, or a band saw ?

Crap, that's two different bears, or a "Dye Job" gone horribly wrong.

I'd like to have a whole room of those to satisfy my appreciation for oddities though I prefer that somebody else killed them.

I like taxidermy that gives you a bit of insight into the animal's personality. This bear was likely the life of the party, right up until he got killed.

Was a shame though, as I really enjoyed him on "Good Times".

That thing looks oddly human.

For some reason most taxidermists have no idea how to do cats eyes.
That is the major thing that screws up alot of otherwise decent cats.

Yikes!! that s some funny shiite. About the predators being difficult, my theory is that you can see both eyes because, well, a predators eyes are close together, on most of these mounts as opposed to deer, getting the eyes right is truly an art that most taxi s don t excel in
