1971 Ford F-250 with a 360ci, It was such a gas hog that driving it was like flying a floatplane. Instead of looking for water to make an emergency landing I had to keep a gas station in sight!

Bristoe--I had the same truck only in 4X4--that piece of crap rusted out and just fell all apart--blown engine--4.6l V8--then the 4-wheel drive wouldn't work. And it all seemend to happen at once--just after the odometer flipped over 480,000 klicks!

It rode like a caddy and got good gas mileage too.

I can't actually remember of having a lemon auto. I have owned new Jeeps, several Dodges, Oldsmobile, Chevy, (w/454) Cadillac, and put lots of miles on all of them and have been more than satisfied with all of them plus a few used ones along the line.

But I have never owned Toyota, VW, or Honda and am sure that I never will.

Never owned a "lemon." Had a couple vehicles in high school/college that were well used and abused, but that wasn't their fault.

Have owned 2 Dodges, 2 Fords, 1 Plymouth, 2 chevy's and a Tundra.

Biggest POS was an '81 Chevy short bed P/U with an inline 6 Cyl and 3 Spd manual trans on the floor. Underpowered worthless thing pinged like crazy whenever you put it under any kind of load, gas mileage was pretty crummy too. Honorable mention goes to a '79 VW Scirocco, went thru disc brake pads and rotors like crazy. Shift rods were anodized aluminum mounted in nylon bushings, if not regularly lubricated it sounded like you were grinding the gears every time you shifted.

1980 VW Rabbit. CV joints, many, voltage regulators, many, #1 cylinder couldn't keep compression. Bad engine design. Points, yes, it had points, plugs. And it didn't handle that well.

No I lied actually I didn't own it, it was a rental car, but it was a Ford Pinto. That little sloped back POS was the worst car I ever drove. I've always said Ralph Nader went after the wrong car, it should have been the Pinto not the Corvair. The little Chevy Corvair was a dream to drive compared to the Ford Pinto.
