I filed all of the paperwork for two suppressors on September 27 and the BATF cashed my checks on October 7. These were purchased through a newly established trust. I received notice today that I can pick up both suppressors tomorrow.

The turnarounds have gotten much better the past month, but that is unusually quick. Depends on the state though.

I had an August 1 come in 2 weeks ago, but I have one from mid September that hasn't come in yet.

But each state's reviewer(s) aren't necessarily as caught up as another's.

It came in early April.

Maybe one day I'll get all the stuff together and shoot em too.

I've heard of people buying a 45 caliber suppressor from a certain company. Then they get adapters for 30 cal, 22 cal, 9mm etc. That way they only buy one, and get one stamp.

Rifle, pistol and rimfire suppressors are rather different animals. The only suppressor that could handle all of those jobs would be a .45 caliber rifle suppressor which would be $$$, heavy as hell and defeat the purpose of a pistol/rimfire suppressor.

There is no free lunch in suppressors.

Using a rifle suppressor for rimfires is stupid, you'll ruin your $$$ suppressor.

Using a rifle suppressor for pistols can be done of course, but who wants to shoot a 20oz can on a pistol?

To be honest, most .45 cans are made for lower pressure cartridges like the 458 socom, 338 spectre, 10mm etc. I am not aware of a .45 caliber can that is rated for any .30 cal other than subsonic 300BO's.
