'Nother buck tag for me. Maybe when I get older and smarter I'll start saving points, but for now I'll just chase 'em in those crappy mediocre units that don't require any points....grin.

I didn't draw buck tag 1st choice got a pt may draw 2nd choice but did draw rifle bear tag. Wife got archery buck tag and couple days after that my bear tag season starts same units so that works out.

Grouse season open about same time so make take shotgun along.

I live Black Forest and bucks horns are just starting had 6 around home yesterday.

Well good luck hope everyone fills their tags

I agree. However, she hunts deer somewhere else almost every year. This is just a "bucket list" hunt. I think no matter how many points she has for this unit she will always be about 2 points short.

The division is talking about going to a point banking system which should help get rid of that "no mans land" but will also make tags that are fairly easy to draw now more difficult to draw with little to no points. I see both sides of the argument for and against point banking

Drew again with 0 points, five years running. I live in the unit so I like getting to hunt every year. Sometimes I find a nice one, most years I just pass.

It makes me cringe to see the tag pimps charge up to $1500 for a tag in this unit!

Don't count your chickens yet. They has been a glitch and talk of a redraw. The points totals are gone from the points page!

Hope some people don't get the rug pulled out from under them

When you look up points, it gives you last years draw and points at the top of the page. You have to scroll down to the bottom to see the current point totals. But currently that part of the page is missing. Saw this on another forum:

""NOTE: 2014 Hunt Recap Summaries and Drawing Summaries posted to this page on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 were NOT the finalized statistical reports. The final reports will be posted to this page on May 30, 2014."

Yeah, I've not heard anything about a redraw, and am hoping by buddy holds on to his moose tag. I think they are just cleaning up the public site as the internal stuff hasn't changed

The information I have says they left the non - residents out of the draw and are working on fixing it.
