you make me want to throw my rifles in the trash.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

It also kicks a .270's butt shooting 130's at 3100fps....I just compared the two on JBM.
.260, 130 swift S2 @ 2925fps 450M=1418 ft pounds 450M Vel=2217fps
.270, 130gr Accubond @ 3100fps 450M=1345 ft pounds 450M Vel=2159
Whats scary is that 130 Scirocco out of your 6.5/284 @ 3150fps....that might be a future project!!
Luck....is the residue of design...

Let's see how those sucky 130 Accubombs work first - I've got some loaded up over RS Hunter right now, some "magic powder" H4831 will be next...

I did see a dude at the range with some rifles that looked a lot like yours..And man he was burnin' those barrels up.
I didn't think too much about it at the time, but hmmmm...

Scenar, Tell us about that Scope. Nice shooting there. Re: that SSII vs. a 270, now dude you gotta be fair and use a 270 load w/higher BC like a 140 or 150 BT to be fair to the 270 crew Thanks btw for the specs SU, removes any doubt on L-W bbls, always had a curiosity and wanted to try one. 8 or 9 ROT?

10X42 S&B PMII(fixed 10X) Mildot
with 140 accubonds and 150 BT's in a .270 slight advantage to the .270.....but I could run some numbers for the 139 scenar in .260 to turn the tables back.
Not being harsh, just pointing out the efficiency of a well balanced short case pushing the right bullet...impressive!....to me anyway.

IIRC Pat used a 130 S2 to put a grizzly down...

Bumping this back from the dead to see if anyone was able to verify BC numbers and had anything new (good or bad) to report on this bullet....Thinking of playing around with it in the 2850-2900 FPS range...
