The Plastic trigger guard on my 700 ADL Synthetic 7mm magnum is cracked and I am wanting to get another one either steel or aluminum.
Are the Trigger guards all the same size on the ADL synthetic rifles with blind box magazine)? or is the hole spacing etc different on short VS long action?

Bottom line is Would a trigger guard that came off a short action fit on my 7mm magnum?

Thanks
Craig

Craig, just doing some research to see how I could help.
Your ADL only has a trigger guard bow, correct? There is no mag box/floorplate integral with it, correct?
If you go to the PT&G website (Pacific Tool and Guage), they sell ADL trigger guard assemblies that are aluminium in varying colours, quite cheaply too, around 25-35 bucks a piece.
I'm sorry, my rifle is the BDL type version with trigger bow and floorplate as one piece and only 2 holes in it, my bad.

Cheers.

There are a lot of inter-changable parts.

A steel one from Jack First will cost you about $50. Just sent one back. Dunno about plastic. Never could keep ADL/BDL straight.

The hinged floor plate one coming is over $100. Proud of those things, they are...

But it will fit my 725 SA, which had a broken one....

OK - what I did was I took the one off my unused .243 700 SA and put it on the active .260 725 SA.... Now I need to fix the 700 back up... It's prettier (that's relative!) anyway.

The 725 is also already wearing a take-off 700TI barrel.. .screwed right on perfectly, exactly upside down with no further work required- sometimes one gets lucky... and luck is better than "good"! smile
