I'm a simple man and believe a few hundred drones with mini-guns would settle the border problems nearly immediately. Low maintenance, good gas mileage, and the operators can run the show in temperature controlled comfort sipping coffee and reading the Campfire. They'll be fewer people smoked by the drone than get cooked in the desert so it's more humane too. I don't see a down side.

As an aside, those that are conked and kept, shopuld be sent back via catapault/trebuchet. Think of the possibilities. Catapault Day. Want to stop the migration North. Just fingerprint, picture, put the felons on chain gang rebuilding our highways and bridges.
