I picked up a CZ with some really nice wood and was thinking of having the stock refinished. Can anyone recommend someone to do an oil refinish that won't break the bank. Thanks

D, I,ve owned many CZ rimfires over the years..Had a few upgraded ,too.
No matter who does the work,by the time they properly strip and refinish the stock you are looking at $200 ( at least )with shipping both ways.
Otherwise, you'll get a stock thats no better than the factory version.

Karnis, from here on the fire, was doing quite a bit of stock work. Glowing reviews.
I'd PM him and see if he still is taking work.

I've heard great things about Karnis, but looks like he hasn't posted in a while. Anyone know if he's still doing stock work

Send him a PM and see if he answers.

Karnis refinished a stock for me at about the time he started having some health (back problems), the work he did was fine, he was great to work with and the price was good but it took almost a year to complete. Consequently, I refinished my CZ stock myself. If a klutz like me can do it then almost anyone can do it if they have the time and a place to do the work. I simply followed the instructions that came with the TRU-OIL kit. Karnis' work is better and he did some things that were beyond my ability; but with just a refinish of a CZ I'm happy with the results I got. Karnis: Klutz: Entire CZ rifle:

Another vote for Karnis if he is able and willing. He did one stock for me a couple years ago. Good communication. Good work. Good price. No drama. Would not hesitate to do business with him again...
Not sure what issues he is having. But wish him the best.
