Had the standard t-3 in the .300 and it was so awesome, that I had to get the same one in the superlite.. then they came out with this "carbine" with the blackened stainless fluted barrel, sites, camo and the piccany rail and I bit on it ! Really ready to get another caliber so why not ! Pretty much new as I have shot less then a box through it..heres a quick link to the rifle if you aren't patient enough for a return p.m w/address to send pic's too...my guess is the weight of the rifle is more then stated by a good 1/2 pound, mabe because the stock is more rigid/beefier (?) then I recall the other two models being http://www.gunsinternational.com/Tikka-T3-Boar-Hunter-300-Winchester-Magnum.cfm?gun_id=100441044

My 30-06 tikka boar hunter weighs 6lbs 8oz with the factory installed steel pic rail on it. These are really nice as they have the Rechnagel (sp) steel hooded safari style sights on them.

The one thing I like about my 30-06 Boar Hunter is the extra weight, about 5 or 6 oz compared to the T3 Lite is all in the barrel which although fluted is a medium contour tube. Makes the gun balance and point a little better than my T3 Lite and noticeably cuts down on the muzzle jump.
