Try and get out a little more.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Spoke with a Winchester rep at SHOT today about LH rifles. He said he would love to see them as it is one of the most requested items..... But, it isn't gonna happen according to him, even as much as he would like.

However, Defiance has a new CRF action available in LH configuration that is simply stunning.

...

Unbelievable that these companies realize the demand yet refuse to satisfy it.
They figure they have enough RH support, and obviously they do.

It really shows how Ruger and TIkka, and even Browning saw a huge marketing opportunity and seized it and are enjoying the resulting market share.
One would think that these purchasers of Ruger, Tikka, Browning...products will buy those same products for upcoming RH shooters in their lives. Apparently Winchester, Kimber and to this point Remington couldn't care less. We'll see if Rem really does make good with the SS actions already referenced.

Thanks for the updates Huntr and for your LH diligence at Shot..

Spoke with them today. They are not making the extreme X2 models in LH yet. Maybe a few months.

They are making LH long action X2 hunters now- had one in my hands. Stock molds are being finished for short actions and should be available by summer according to the rep I talked to Tuesday at SHOT.

Winchester's stupidity is MRC's gain. I hope MRC does well filling the void (with a better rifle I might add) and Winchester can do what ever they want. What a bunch of idiots........

I believe the current market bubble in the price of the stainless LH is temporary because somebody will fill it. That is part of the reason I sold mine.

But having had multiple MRC actions come through my hands, I like the Win 70 better.

Probably the only Winchester I would own now would be a LH 264 Win Mag in a Featherweight or maybe a smaller 6.5 of some kind. Either of those would have been great.

No I saw that after I ordered, got mine from Bashaw. It was a good deal but not quite like the one you mentioned.

I have to agree, even thought Utah708 says the Winchesters are better. I'd be willing to try the MRC out.. If it's like a Ruger m77, it can be polished out and made very slick. The MRC is, however, a lot more reminiscent of the pre 64 model 70 except for a few extra safety features: Better gas handling etc... I'd give one a try, if for no other reason than to say I've BTDT... wink
