It was an outstanding mount and in that application very cool
In my house not so much

i saw the same pic you are talking about. it was a very nice mount.those full body mounts are such dust collectors . they need to be cleaned often. shoulder mounts are bad enough to keep clean.

The issue to me with full body, is keeping the base clean when its a 'natural' base.
The mount, no big deal, its no worse than wiping 3 or so shoulder mounts, and since its full deer and not 1/3 of the deer that makes total sense.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

I like life-size mounts but the laying down deer is not my favorite pose (nor is it for most other animals).

Shoulder mounts make up the majority of my trophy room with a couple life-size animals. There are some animals that I think make a really great skull mount (like a roan), but I have yet to be able to bring myself to have an animal done that way. I just love to see all the markings on the fur. I suspect the euro mounts will happen sometime sooner than later for me though as space is rapidly becoming limited in my little trophy room.
