Got a smoking deal on one of the Just Hunt Customs in 358 x 1.8 and wondered if there was any load data yet? Similar to a 358 wssm but a little shorter. Thanks

Here's a picture of one of the 358 x 1.8 rounds I have made out of 300 WSM brass and with a Barnes 200gr. bullet next to a Remington 125gr. 300 Blackout for comparison. [img] [/img]

The 1.8" version is actually longer than the version made on the WSSM case.
You can expect to see upwards of 150-200fps greater velocity with the 1.8" over the WSSM 1.6" chambering.
I've had a 358WSSM for a little over a year and have been able to launch 180gr TTSX at a bit over 2700 and the 200gr TTSX at 2600 with great accuracy out of the 200.

Thanks hangunnr, You are correct that i had it reversed. Do you have any re-loading data for your round that you would be willing to share? It seems that starting and mid loads should be about the same between the two?

Sent an email with some load data to the addy you have listed in your profile.
There should be enough there to get you started.
Let me know if it comes through...

Its Scott... got the gun from Del though. It has been used in Indiana to take deer out to 450yds... so I'm excited to see what I can do on some of those Upper Peninsular logging tracks. Once I can get some paper punching done.

I know this is an old post but I’m just wondering if you have any reloading data you would be willing to share for this round. A friend and I have a 358 Just Hunt and would like to reload for this round. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
