I am considering turrets for a diavari 2.5-10x42. The rifle is a 280 remington and longest shots will be limited to 500yards.
I thought you guys may have a better hold on the question than the other forum options.

I've got that scope with a zeiss elevation turret on 2 rifles. A 243 and a 300 saum. My range only goes to 400 yards but both scopes have proven very repeatable to that range

I have the 6-24×56 diavari and it tracks like that is it's job.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

I have a 1.5-6x42 with elevation and windage turrets - it tracks properly per a box test and routinely gets cranked up to ~11 mils and returns back to zero without problems.
My only complaint is that the knob hash marks stop at 6.5 mils (or 7 mils?) and then it has 3 or 4 clicks that are unlabeled...so a full revolution is 6.8 mils (or 7.3 mils?), which isn't an easy number to work with on the fly. [I would check the specifics of the turret but the rifle is currently off at the gunsmith for a new barrel.]
