I've had 5 stones........
Not the worst pain I've had... a couple of ruptured disc had the stones beat by a bit......
FLOMAX is your friend, get some if the doc hasn't already....
Lay on your side pain side up, drink lots of water... Doc gave me a prescription and I'm on it. Thanks.

Only pain worse than the stone was when they removed it and it broke into pieces and they had to keep going back in repeatedly to get the pieces.

My dad had one back in '79 and I thought I was losing him until learning what the problem was. I make sure to drink enough water/coffee/tea to make a fine kidney donor.

I seriously deal with 3 or 4 a year. I have learned to immediately act at the first of the dull pain, I seriously grab a bottle of that nasty horrid vinegar, the cloudy/chunky crap. I pour a shot in a little juice glass, dilute with a splash of water, drink that crap down and chase with a couple glasses of water. I repeat twice a day. If I catch it quick enough, it really helps. Often I'll pass it quick and with hardly any pain.
Something clever here.

Vinegar with the muther eh?
All, in general, at what age are you suffering these and do you have a family history? My son's Godfather and I built a house 8 years ago and they hit him hard. He was around 47 then but not related.

Well, I was 44 last week but it's been my birthday since the first of April, so I guess I passed 50 today... Sonofa.
I've used just regular apple cider vinegar too, seems to work the same.
I went in to the ER once for a stone, they x rayed and told me I'm full of em.
I think I seem to just be lucky in the way that mine seem to dissolve or something with that vinegar. I'm sure that trick won't work for everybody but it seems to work for me.
Something clever here.

Last one I had was the size of a concrete block... It felt that big anyway...
Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Try to catch the stone and get it analyzed. Most are calcium oxylate. If so, there is a non-prescription suppliment that cuts down on calcium and sodium excretion, both needed to form calcium oxylate stones. This suppliment has potassium and magnesium. The kidney can excrete sodium OR potassium, calcium OR magnesium. Suppliment K/Mg excretion drops the Na/Ca concentration, thus fewer stones are formed. http://www.theralogix.com/?fa=products.theralithxr.default&dvsn=urologyDF

My last one was this past September on an elk hunt. It was lots of fun. Damned near ruined my hunt. My first attack came on the way to Evanston, Wy. I was alone in my truck, the pain was so bad I had to pull over on Hwy 15 south of Provo. Luckily, for me I pain subsided and I was able to make to Evanston to my brothers home. The pain came and went for more than two weeks before I passed it, by then I was back home.

Been there, done that. Pain so bad you don't want to stand up, but can't sit or lay down!
Wish you well, it's not the most fun I've had, that's for sure!

Hospital, Demerol can be a VERY good friend.
Lipotripsey... no no no.... laser that fugger. Having someone run a tube up your dick is a lot more comfortable than getting your back whacked with a bat for an hour.
X-ray I saw of mine showed a stone the size of a 38 wwadcutter. And that was two days AFTER the batting practice.
No fear, no doubt, all in, balls out.

i had them on and off for about 10years. the water where i lived was full of calcium. once i moved no more stones. they went away about the same time i thru my back out. lower disc feels much like a stone at times. it took me a while to figure out the differents in the pain. i never had both at the same time.after suffering thru back pain for a few years i'd much rather have stones atleast they come and go. back pain is never ending .

I passed a Boone & Crocket sized stone.
I heard it hit the porcelain.
You all understand.
