My wife died suddenly this morning. She has had some respiratory issues the last 4 months but felt good yesterday. Today, after her shower, she thought she ought to go to the ER for monitoring. During the ambulance ride, she went into cardiac arrest. Several more times at the ER and they thought they had her stable enough to transfer to a bigger hospital. Less than a half hour later, she arrested again and this time, they couldn't bring her back. She was only 52.
The single bright thing is that she was an organ donor, the center says she will help lots of folks. When she worked at the hospital, she was a 'designated asker' who talked to families who lost loved ones.
In her memory, I'm asking you to consider it.

America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

Condolences. How old are the kids? It is small comfort, but this is a time when you loved her to the end. Hope you find peace in knowing that. I someday hope that I can do the same for my wife.
