My old Elite GT500 still works great, but gifting it to my buddies son to get him started in bowhunting. I also have a Mathews Halon 32, but the Elite bows just plain outperform the Mathews in my opinion. The EnKore is supposed to be here in time to get it set up and dialed in but I'll hold off putting the new arrows together, and cut the shafts, until the new bow is in hand. Anyone else putting together a new outfit? Looking forward to mid September, getting some nice trail cam pics already. Take care and be safe! Dean

I've shot the Elite EnKore - great shooting bow.

I put together a Mathews Traverse last fall and shot quite a bit over the winter and spring. I shot in a Total Archery Challenge meet a few weeks ago and it was great practice to get ready. A TAC meet will show you your weak spots.

My setup is:
Traverse at 64.5lbs
QAD Ultrarest
Spott Hogg Hogg Father sight
Mathews Straight Line stabilizers (front and rear)
I'm shooting Easton Axis Match arrows with HIIT inserts and 4 fletch AAE Max Stealth vanes with slight helical.
I'm using two releases, mostly: a Carter Wise Choice thumb trigger that I converted to 2-finger and a B3 Coop hinge.

Will be heading to Montana in early October for elk with it.

I have an older Elite GT500 now as well as a Mathews Halon 32. Shooting side by side, alternating one bow to the other, bows basically set up the same as both are set up for me. Same draw length, draw weight, brace height, even the same arrows. I was amazed at how much more energy the Elite put in the arrow than the Mathews. The arrows out of the Elite were noticeably deeper into the target than from the Mathews and a real pain to pull out! But, the Mathews is hands down the smoother of the 2.

Thanks have had a couple other SA2 /PSA2 built.
IMHO that riser more balanced looking than PCH and I dont need the long sight window of the MA.

And a little under 50# and at 58" I can do 3d and hunt w it.

Did w my 55 and 57# ones.....but am older and falling apart.

Last Widow build for me.

I went to a shop to look at a compound, actually two diff shops and both sales dudes were too busy BSing w friends.

Told one what I wanted, he had one but not set up for me to try ( demo bow ). Went back a week later, still not set up, made a smart remark.

Walker out w my money in my pocket.

Went to another shop, even more redneck than the other......walked out.
