First harvest with the John Strunk Longbow is this Oregon Rio.
It took two shots... the top limb hit the top of my blind and sent the arrow off course!
Great job, excellent bird.
You done good, took me years to get one with a bow
Congratulations on a great bird and thanks for sharing the really nice pictures!
Yes-good job and great pics!
Very cool! Great pics too! Congrats
I’m gonna go week after next, got eye fixed, hoping multifocal lense helps my bow shooting. It couldn’t hurt it, cataracts suck.
Good for you, congratulations
Congrats. That's quite of an accomplishment to be proud of
Two more weeks till we VT’ers can go gobblin’.
Good for you! It’s fun hunting with a longbow.
Congrats!
That's very rewarding!
Congrats, Good Job. Glad you got a chance for the second shot. I have only shot 1 with a bow. Not an easy task.

I sent John, a couple of pictures of the Tom. I think he was tickled to see that his bow was being used to good purpose. I hope to meet him at one of the Trad shoots this summer.
That is flat out awesome! And what a rope of a beard!

Nice! Great job!
Excellent job and a beautiful bow. I love seeing success photos with bows that don't have training wheels on them. You've done it the hard way, the right way.
Hey, thanks for the kind words, all 👍
I’ve been out a couple of times since and it has been pretty quiet.
Still hoping for another opportunity, but time is getting short and our John Day River float trip is coming up quick.
I've taken exactly one turkey with a bow. Like you, I don't care for compounds.
Congrats on a fine bird and a commendable method of take.
Awesome all around.
That’s amazing, congrats!
I’ve taken many turkeys with a compound bow. Doing it with a longbow takes it up several levels!
Nice! You've inspired me. I might take my bow rather than the 870 this weekend.
