Not really. I didn't start trying to kill one with a bow until a couple years ago,and at that I'm much more of a run-n-gun turkey hunter, but this morning they were calling for rain so I figured I'd give the blind a try. Everything worked and the bird read the script. We were done @ 5:45 AM. Home in time for breakfast and a nap before work.

If you’re not already watching him, you should check out Shane Simpson’s turkey videos. He doesn’t hunt exclusively with a stickbow by any means, but does so frequently and gets it done often enough to keep it interesting. Deer too. Seems to use the bow mainly on Merriam’s.

Took me 40 years too, then killed another 5 minutes later. I’ve killed a half dozen since then. I have good luck out of a bow box, have five tripod and tree stands too, but easiest to get shot off on a Turkey out of this box. A group of turkeys is a lot of eyes. Have it for bad weather
