I have another trip planned for Kansas for the last week in October and first week in November. I am interested in trying to get even closer and perhaps be more pro active towards a mature buck. I feel they know all the stand placements as I get to see them, but never inside 40 yards. Younger bucks, but not the real big guys. I wasn’t able to get up to work the farm this year and in fact nobody other then trespassers, nobody was on the farm this year.

Other then hunt the wind, and walk real real real slow, what tips/advice can you give me to help me hunt from the ground.

I've never hunted the Midwest but in the Appalachian foot hills the wind is near impossible to depend on. Wind currents tend to eddy and swirl like water in a river. Thermals are a bit more reliable but it's still a tough game.
Keeping the sun behind me has always been a priority for me and avoid being silouetted against the sky line. Be mindful of your cadence as you move, turkeys and squirrels make a lot of noise in the woods and deer seem to pay them little attention.
Movement will get you busted about as quick as anything imo, regardless of where or how you hunt.
