Dan used to make a 3 piece recurve that he doesn’t make any more. I once had one that had two sets of limbs 40&43@28”. I want one that is 50@28. Can’t find one anywhere.
I believe it’s the Curlew model
I believe the Curlew was his early 3-piece model. It was similar in design to a Predator Takedown recurve which is similar to a Fred Bear Takedown recurve (at least to my eye).

Toelke briefly had both the Curlew and the Lynx 3-piece takedown models available, but he eventually stopped making the Curlew. I don't remember if the Curlew came with 2 sets of limbs (either way, I believe it only came in a recurve configuration), but the Lynx usually came with two sets of limbs by default: one recurve set and one longbow set. I forget why he stopped making the Lynx (and 3-piece bows in general; all of his takedowns are 2-piece now), but by all accounts it was one of the best 3-piece bows available. (Never owned one myself, but I did have a Toelke Whip [longbow] for a few years that I hunted with. Great bow, but I decided to stick with recurves and sold it.)
Yes it was a Curlew. I had forgotten which model. I too have had several bows made by Dan.
Found one!
My bow came in today. Pretty bow.
