A couple of weeks ago, while hauling manure out on a chopped corn field about an hour after daylight I noticed a buck cross in a slight depression and enter the woods This happened two different mornings. He was out quite a distance and he appeared to be a good shooter. Over the years I noticed the woods where he was headed is a good bedding area.

Instead of setting up a ladder stand at the edge of the woods, I scouted out some thickets looking for beds and found some. Put up a ladder stand right smack dab in the area. Plan was to wait for wet conditions and wind direction.

It started snowing Tuesday night and continued to snow when I got into the stand Wednesday morning at 0400. 0730 horns in the snow, but not what I was hoping for so out comes the camera.

He beds down.

Nothing bigger comes along so I decided it was time to go home and do chores. He got out of his bed to look at the snowy figure moving in a tree. LOL

Heck of a neck on that guy!

Nice Pics....thanks!
I must be getting old, but I would rather take those bucks with a camera than a bow. That last pic is great! Look at the neck on that bugger!

All the pics are keepers/wall hangers
