i'm looking at purchasing one of these super expensive yet large archery targets. Does anyone have enough experience with one to let me know how well they hold up?

About like a Rinehart - a couple of Bowhunters here have them.

They are modular, seem to hold up well - again, like a Rinehart, but you can replace a section if you shoot it out with broadheads.

Field points - less of an issue.

I’d compare it to my Rhinoblock, similar weight and density.

Best in its class in my opinion.

I have the RhinoBlock, had it for a few years, still on my original core.

Shot the Matrix last year or two years ago for deer management quals - not my target, one of the bowhunters bought one for the ability to replace the blocks.

There's about 15-20 bowhunters shooting at this qual event 3 arrows each, and 20 and 30 yards - around 100 to 150 arrows shot in the session with practice heads.

The Matrix was probably shot by half of us - it held up, but like any target you actually use, it showed the use.

Pretty easy to swap the shot up center out for another hex, and keep shooting - which is what their market target is.

I read this thread when I was looking at one a few years ago - it's continued on from 2017.

I don't know what generation we were shooting - I'm assuming a Gen One, but that is speculation.
