Anyone here using Black Gold Sights?

After getting back into bow hunting I put a HHA Optimizer Lite King Pin XL sight. For competition, I think it is an excellent sight. For bow hunting it is not quite my thing. I am going back to a fixed multi-pin sight. KISS - fiddling with the wheel was too much hassle for my style of treestand hunting.

Thinking of the Widow Maker or Revenge.

That's about all I use anymore - but I use an older model of the Ascent, set up for Idaho without the pin light.

For the tree stand here, the MBG pin light is not the greatest design, but it will work - I use one each year.

I'd probably go with the Widow Maker, I think the larger 2 inch sight window comes standard on it.

I like that the pin brightness is cut down in the daylight by the color change.

I’ve been using Montana’s five pin slider for the last few years and really like it. I only use the slider option at the range past sixty and lock it in place when hunting whitetails. They make great sights with lots of options. Good luck.

I'm trying to think of an archery hunter that doesn't own one in my neck of the woods. I'm drawing a blank. Lights on sights are not allowed in Idaho, maybe that's why. MBG are about as bright as a pin can get without being lit up. Lifetime warranty.

Good sights, tough, bright pins about as good as it gets. I have a 5 pin (Rush) and single pin mover (Whitetail) like them both.

With regards to the Rush, do you feel you are missing any functionality compared to the Widow Maker or the Revenge?

It has been a while and not sure if I need to spring for micro adjust pins and/or 3rd axis adjustment on a basic treestand sight.

I will use a 3 or 4 pin.

My Ascents have the free sliding pins - they adjust and tighten up nice - I don't have the Micro adjustments.

I actually prefer the non-Micro - if I bust a pin or a fiber, I can swap it out without sending it back to MBG.

For what we typically shoot for distance in the VA woods, the third axis probably won't help that much - I'm not looking past 20-25 yards.

I have a three Pin (can add others) SpotHogg Real Deal you can have if you want it. Great super simple sight.
