Staying in Palmer AK this august for 10days. Looking for some advice on where to fish. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Targeted species? Catch and Release or Fun and Food?

Possibly silver salmon in Ekluta tailrace.

A number of stocked lakes for trout. Check out AK F&G website for info.

Depending on other plans and mobility, head south to Kenai Peninsula...

Looking for anything to catch and release but would also like to catch a few salmon and send back home.

Flyphishr, I noticed your CIB. If you are retired military, the MWR facility on Elmendorf AFB can help. In late August, you may catch the 2nd silver run down South on the KenaI Penisula. You can also try Willow Creek not to far North if water levels permit. Go North up HW3 to where the HW crosses the creek. On the left, just past the bridge is the Willow Creek Resort. Call ahead, but you can rent a small inflatable pontoon there and do a self guided float trip. For a small fee, the folks at the resort will meet you downstream where the creek meets the Susitna River. Pack a lunch and It's a nice day on the water.
Also take the drive through Hatcher Pass Road while you are up there. You won't regret it.
