well earlier this year i bought a North-X ultra light fishen rod. i got it equiped with a diawa 1500 with 4 pound test (couldnt find 2 lb). I love it. havnt used my regular pole since then. makes the lil fish feel like monsters. i was fishing on the river the other day with it for rainbows and got a BIG surprise What bit that lure wasnt a trout. bout 75 mins later and 100 yards down stream i landed a steelhead. 15 pounds. Yeah, don't sweat it. I used to use 4# on bonefish down in the Keys, and if it works there it'll work on Steelies. Just a tip from somebody who's seen it...don't waste your time on the 2# unless you want to buy a noodle rod. It is simply too light to use in moving water, or water with obstructions, or on much of anything over a pound or so. It is also a major pain in the keister to tie a knot with. REALLY.

Yeah, I met the guy who set a record with 2# catching a nice permit...after something like 25 hookups and breakoffs, and then nearly 3-4 hours when he finally succeeded. It ain't fishing, it's...Zin.
