I am beginning to pare down some of my gear and this is one that will be sold soon.
It is a later production (does not have 4-digit date code on butt) 7'9" 5 wt 2-piece.
The original rod tube and divided sock are included. I think I still have the 25-year warranty card somewhere as well.
One a 1-10 scale this is a solid 9 with very little wear at all.
Anyone have an idea on price?
Thanks in advance!
WFR
These came in two series. The most expensive was the Superfine, it had better hardware and reel seat. The economy model was the Rocky Mountain series and later called the Silver series and it was the same blank with less expensive hardware.

Knowing which series you have would help with the value.

It is the Superfine series.
I just posted it on Craigslist locally.

Do you think I'm priced okay?
Orvis Far & Fine
Well I was going to say around $250.00 but a quick search shows these superfines going from $250 to $350, with the higher end prices little used condition like yours. So I would say it is fairly priced.

I had a Rocky Mountain series of that rod as my first fly rod and I caught a lot of fish with it. That 7'-9" length in a 5wt works very well for small to medium size creeks/rivers.

Took your advice and lowered the price a bit.

I have one I use from 0588 I wouldn't sell it for nothing maybe ($$$$), I love it for drys on small creeks. It will be in my casket with me....They call it a Far & Fine for a reason.
Do you still have it, I may be interested..

Sold it to a gentleman in TN who is getting good use out of it!
His daughter caught a fish with it right off the bat.

Had one years ago and managed to lose it somehow. That was my favorite rod bar none..
