Yep I am loading that bullet in one of my Ruger Hawkeye Roberts with 46gn H4350. I ended up backing off a grain of powder, compared to other 100gn bullets, but still get about the same velocity. Usually I load 47gn H4350 with 100gn Hornadys, Ballistic Tips or Partitions for around 3100 - 3150 fps but 46gn H4350 gives me a bit over 3100 fps with the 100gn Scirocco, so they must generate a bit more pressure. 47gn H4350 gave me close to 3200 fps and a bit sticky extraction.

It's a ripper of a little bullet in the Roberts. I shot a mature fallow buck at 20 metres with one. The bullet went through one shoulder and came to rest under the skin on the far side. It went through one shoulder bone. The bullet was perfectly expanded and weighed right on 79gn (79%) with the jacket and core intact. I reckon at that close range the performance was fantastic and the buck dropped on the spot. With other game (fallow does, billy goats and medium pigs around 60kg) the Sciroccos have always exited with a nice sized hole.

They don't shoot that great in the Ruger I'm loading them in (about 1 to 1 1/4 inches at 100m) but that's good enough for the game I listed above. I think I read somewhere that they like to be seated a bit further off the lands, maybe due to their thick jacket, like a solid copper bullet. Mine are seated 30 thou off but I don't want to seat them any deeper as that rifle has quite a short leade and the bullet looks a bit dumpy. My other Ruger Roberts has had the throat lengthened a bit so I plan to shoot the Scirroccos in that rifle where I can seat them out a bit further and then still have plenty of room to adjust seating depth to 40 or 50 thou and not look stumpy. That was my plan about four years ago but I still haven't got round to it yet.
Thanks Elvis,,

lots of good input,,, I shoot a hor 100 gr spire w/4350,,,,, but my sweet spot is 43 grains,,, quite a difference there,,shot a bunch of em too,,,
Seem to recall 46 ish got stuff sticky,,,, been a ,while,,,,,,,,

Thank you, RC
I wouldn’t hesitate to use Nosler’s 100 GR load data for ballistic tips as a starting point if it’s a modern (1898 or later) rifle you’re using.

Back off a grain or two from your Hot Cor load and work back up in half or full grain increments.

Roger that,,,,,
I got all them books an just needeed to hear from some Bodys,,,,,
Had that box for years,,, funny how stuff in the back gets forgotten about,,,,,

Thanks,, RC

I've got 11 or 12 boxes of the Hornady 100gn SPs stashed away. That's probably my favourite all round bullet in the .257 Roberts and .250 Savage. My long throated Roberts is shooting the old 100gn Nosler Solid Base and once they are used up I'll load the Sciroccos in that rifle and then load the Hornady in the short throated Roberts.

43gn H4350 is quite mild, at lest in my rifles. I've had five Bobs and all could handle 46 or 47gn H4350 with 100gn bullets. Maybe your chamber is tight. It just goes to show that rifles can be different.
