On another thread comments were made by other members about the quality of Sig brass. Last week I needed to buy .243 Win. brass to load for my brother and Sig brass from Natchez SS was the only brand and place I could find any. So, I got in two bags (50ct. ea.) to load up and thought I would share my impression of the brass.

The brass was nicely polished. Even though this is bagged brass, the case mouths were round and dent free. The only case prep I had to do was chamfer the cases. I measured five rounds of brass from each bag and found the OAL on the brass was 2.037. The unprimed brass weighed 165.0 gr. Shocking me, there were 51 rounds of brass in each bag. And for those of us that care, the bags are labeled as made in the US. The brass cost was $28.99 per bag. I would really like to know who is making the brass for them.

I realize this is a small sample of what they offer and not any kind of in depth test. Time will tell how durable the brass is. However, I would buy this brass again and I encourage others that need brass to give it a try.

The SIG 308 and 243 brass I've tried has been excellent uniformity wise. I haven't put enough miles on any given set to assess ultimate durability.
seeing as Sig ordnance is based in Rocket City my guess is that they picked up some tooling from the Rem sale.
but that is just my gut feeling...I know there was a lot of tooling sold from the consolidated Rem facility in Rocket City, I just don't know if any of it was brass tooling.

Good to hear, I just picked up three bags of 308 Win brass.

I've loaded Sig brass in my .308 and .300 WM. I've liked it so much for the price, I've bought some 6.5 CM brass from them now. If it holds up like people that have more loads on it then I do are saying it does, I will be happy.
