.. has turned out to be IMR 3031 surprisingly. I don't remember finding any load data on it, and ran across 20 cases that I loaded in July according to my data card with the batch....

28 grains with 90 gr Noslers, 120 gr Sierra HP Match, 123 ELD-M, and 140 grain Speer SP...

shot them at the range this afternoon, 5 shot clover leafs....I'm still thinking I might have to back the 140 grainer back a bit, but am reloading those cases
tonight and will check at the range tomorrow....

haven't chronographed it yet, I assume MV will be pretty close to H322 velocities...

I'm still not all that satisfied with the way my Howa mini is shooting, but so far H335 has been the most accurate powder I've tried, followed by TAC. That is with a 123 SST. Haven't chronographed it yet, which is something I need to do.

I've got a lot of H322, maybe I need to try some of that.

My Howa Mini shot the 123SST extremely well with 748 Win, but the velocity was just abysmal. I don't have my notes on hand, but I'm thinking it was 2250fps ballpark.

don't know what your charge is, but I have found that W 748 has been the accuracy champ with the heavier bullets...

I am at higher than the 2250 mark shooting 140 gr Speer and Hornady bullets. you can't get enough W 748 or BLC.2 in a Grendel case to over pressurize it...

with the 140s, I am running a charge of 29 grains.... 129 and 130 gr bullets, I am running 29.5 grains...of 748.

123 grainers, and 120 grainers, I am running 30 grains of 748...velocity is in the 2500 fps range with those...

one batch of Hornady brass, I am on the 15th reload of that batch of 10, as of yesterday....Today it will be on the 16th. Primers are still tight.

I neck size, bump back the shoulder with a body die and anneal each reload.

I have found quite a bit of load data on the Grendal, and also reference some of the data from 7.62 x 39, for powders, and go from starting charges and work up.

also look at 6 x 45 data and work up....also reference 6.5 x 223 Single shot pistol data as well at 6.5 x 39 data from some older reload manuals.

mine is a bolt action Ruger American Predator, 22 inch barrel...

I am finding that about any powder beyond 4198, its really hard to over pressurize the Grendal Case...

it is close to being a bolt action 30/30 with velocity potential.

It wasn't a pressure issue, my groups just opened up badly with hotter loads of 748. My specific rifle liked mild loads in general for the best accuracy across bullet weights with several different powders.

I never tried anything heavier than the 123 out of mine. I don't have the rifle anymore. It was accurate, but just terrible ergonomics for me.

Leverrevolution (LVR) gave me the best speeds and very good accuracy with the heavier bullets. Before I tried LVR I was happy with BLC2.

Been playing around with mine some more. Tried some Sierra 123 BTHP's, along with the Alliant Varmint powder, which some of the 6.5 Grendel websites have been bragging about. My best accuracy is still with the 123 SST and 27.4 grains of H335. I'd like to experiment some more, but I can't find the bullets I'd like to try. Seems that 6.5 reloading components are still scarce. I'm set in the powder and primer department, just low on bullets and brass.

Found a couple of boxes in my moving tubbs of 105 grain Partitions, that I am going to load up with the 28 grains of 3031...

Got these via Shooters Pro Shop years ago as factory over runs... they were made for a house account, I think RWS...

they are the Semi Pointed style bullet.... not for US market, but who cares when its factory over runs....

I get both accuracy and speed with A2520 using 100gr and 125gr Partitions.

I love the Grendel. I’ve tried Cfe 223 & XBR 8208. Best results were with 28.5 gr. of 8208. Hornady brass. CCI 450 120 SMK. 10 shots in one ragged hole at 100 yards.

I use IMR 8208 XBR for 120- 123 gr bullets. I get real good accuracy and velocity with it in the AR and Howi Mini. The lighter bullets H335 seems to shoot better. Tried CFE 223 but it wasn’t as accurate as the two above mentioned powders.

Being the simple sort, I’ve settled on Speer 120gr GDs over 31gr of PP2000-MR, courtesy of the Speer website. It was the fastest powder listed at 2620 (31.4gr) and I was able to get a few jugs before the crunch. Haven’t clocked them myself yet, but they shoot very well. This one (Mini) is first in line when the rifle season opens in a few weeks. Best $359 (w/two stocks) rifle I ever bought. Thanks, Darrik!
