What’s some velocities you guys are getting with the 6.5 Creed , not asking for load data but powder and bullet weight would be nice .
Scroll back to 9/2/21 in this subforum to find the 6.5 Creed load thread. Lots of actual data there.
If you're looking for speed out of a 6.5CM, then you may be disappointed. But, if you're after accuracy, then you're at the right place.
Do what the above poster suggested, and look into previous threads. You'll find some good info there.
I will throw this out there.......i'm shooting a Sierra 120 grain ProHunter, using Winchester 6.5 Staball, out of a 20 inch barrel, and if I remember correctly it chronographed at around 2900 fps. Might could have got more speed, but it was very accurate, and I was happy.

Talked with a guy last week that claims he’s getting 3000 FPS with RL 17 and 130 bullets , sounds a little fast
I get right at 2800 with reloader 17 and 140 grain SST. 26” barrel.
I did 2950 with the 127 LRX, Alpha brass and RL17 in my 24” Tikka.
I developed a load this summer with Reloder 16 / 120gr Hornady GMX / Fed 210match / Alpha brass that averaged 2962 and shoots ¾ inch 4 shot groups. This load was shot in my Bergara b14 ridge wilderness with a 22inch barrel
I get 2750 with RL16 and 143 eldx in a 22 inch Barrett FC. I get about the same with the 140 AB.
22” Rock barrel, RL26 (drop tube) and Hornady 147 averages 2755fps with single digit ES/SD. Worthy of mass producing in my rifle.

That is almost the identical velocity to what I load in my .260, except that my go-to is the 129 Interlock. I use heavier bullets in my creeds, so do not get the speed.

What many people still apparently don't get about the 6.5 Creedmoor is that it was designed to get decent but not zippy muzzle velocities with medium to heavyweight 6.5 high-BC bullets. These work well at longer ranges because the high BC results in them catching up with lighter bullets started faster--but they also work well for hunting at closer ranges, because the moderate impact velocity doesn't put as much strain on bullets, or shoot up as much meat.
But if you really want to get a 6.5 Creedmoor zipping along, my first one had a 26" barrel and got 3100 fps with the 120 Ballistic Tip, using Ramshot's published data. But after hunting with several Creedmoors over the years I generally found it works better as designed, with bullets around 140 grains at 2700 to maybe 2800 fps. This isn't exactly a new concept: The 6.5x55 has been proving it for a long time now.
Out of my 24” Tikka I am getting 2960fps with a case full of RL26 and a 135gr Berger.
2700 fps +/- 25 with H 4350, CCI 200’s and 140 Accubonds and Ballistic Tips or140 Berger VLD Htg, 28” barrel

I’ll have to check the OAL later but I am at .030” off the lands.
130 game changers, big game powder, 2900+/- out of. 24” tikka.
2800 with 130gr Sierra HPBTs
Kimber Classic 84M w/22” bbl
2700 fps with 140 class bullets using H4350
2860 fps with 143 ELD-X using RL26

I actually saw some load data on line, with that powder, that bullet weight, and that cartridge.....
I haven't loaded it or chronographed it, and can't verify it...
but whoever told you they got that speed, off the internet is where they might have gotten the claim...
Addendum, Discovered where I found that load. Its on line, from Sierra's Load data for the 6.5 Creedmoor, with the 130 gr TMK....addendum
127 LRX and RL26 for 2900 + didn't look for any more in my rebarreled Kimber longmaster 3/4 " 5 shot groups. My Tikka T3x didn't like this combo as much.
RL 17, 123 Scenar, 28" Kreiger 1-8 3090 fps.
143 eldx at 2800 via rl26
2675fps from 22" Bergara Woodsman 140gr SST's & 42gr RL16. Have shot lots of 1/2" groups with this combo. Shot this buck a couple weeks ago at 315yds.

Same guy lies about his gas mileage....
Hammer makes some lwt bullets, one in particular is their 85gr. Seems 3400 is easy to get with it and the 110HH also has a good reputation. Im considering them myself (though I haven't sprung for another 6.5 Creed yet.) I see it as more of a coyote/deer/antelope combo, same as I do the 243. If I just hunted deer/antelope, I know I would first use those fast Hammers ( because I'm weird that way) and then I'd have to play with the 139 Scenar-156 heavies. My problem is my 270 shoots the Barnes 110 TTSX and 110PHs like a bandit! ha. have a ball man!
2600 to 2800 with 130-140gr bullets seems to be the sweet spot for the 6.5 CM. If you want much more than that then maybe the 6.5 PRC would be a better choice.
24" 2676 fps, H4350 140 Nosler AB
2680 fps with 140 hot core's, 4350 and happy little groups.
I’m getting 2960 fps using RL26 behind a 130gr Nosler Accubond w/Hornady brass.
Rifle is a LH Tikka T3X Superlite…24” barrel.
Restocked in a McMillan Sako Compact pattern(Hunters Edge w/ standard fill).
This rifle is my Mtn./Sheep Rifle. It is very light weight even without the “edge” fill in the stock and it shoots great!
As such, it is a hunting rifle. I could care less about 10 shot groups…in fact I’ve never even tried. But it’ll put 3 shots into .6” at 100yds consistently.😁
