130gr flavor. Got some Starline brass and plenty of primers as well. Just need some powder to decide on.

What's everyone's favorite recipe?
Look in the nosler load manual, likely use H4831 and work up a load your particular rifle likes. Learn an easy way to find the lands and start .020" off. Or wait for it, someone here has the magic load that works in every 270
H4831 has always been my go-to load in a 270. RL-16 and IMR-4350 have worked for me as well. I’ve heard of an old trick when dialing in Partitions and it’s worked for me in several instances. If your Partition load workup is showing promise but it’s not really “there” yet, try the next fastest burning powder per the powder burn rate charts. Sometimes a slightly faster powder will be all it takes to get you to the promised land.

H4831 for the 130 grainers.

The added advantage H4831 has always been very temp stable when I’ve cold weather tested it. And I’ve cold weather tested more loads with the 270 and H4831 than any other.
56 to 57 gr of IMR4831 will likely give you good velocity and accuracy. Reloder 16 17, 19, 22, 23, Ramshot Hunter, and both IMR or Hodgdon 4350 would be other good powders to use.
That being said, either of the 4831s have always been the standby powders for the 270win.

Good luck in your load development and happy shooting
61gr. of RL-26 has given me 3200fps+ and sub MOA accuracy with several 130gr. bullets.

I've also had great luck with 55gr. of IMR-4350.

Same here, 60-62 grains of RL26 under a few different 130 grain bullets has been excellent for me, always over 3100 and has been really accurate as well.

IMR 4350 works for me. I’m thinking 56 grains from memory.

I DO have some H4350 that I could use up.

But sounds like the popular suggestion is 4831.

If I run out of patience finding some 4831, I will try a few loads with 4350.

Have reloading 130 gr Partitions in my pre64 Model 70 for 30+ years.

Started with IMR4350 which worked well. Stayed with it.

From the manual i started with.... 54 gr of the 4350 worked really well. {max was 55 gr ]

in my limited experience with this load and some others... the 270 is fairly forgiving.

your mileage may vary. :-)

For me IMR4831 has not been temp stable. The IMR and H are not interchangeable.

I found RL22 to work great with the 130 grainers.

H4831 and 130 grain NP in a .270 are iconic. Try 58grains. But, 55grains of H4350 ain't bad.
