Bought some Jamison 405 win from Graf and Son Yesterday. Been a bit tough to find retail as of late. 20 for $23.99 , not cheap but it is available.

I have seen this in their site. I am interested in how it performs. Could you update this after you have had a chance to use it?

Any product reviews?

can't the 405 be made out of just necking up 30/06 brass and trimming?

someone who had one told me that quite a while ago...

The 30-06 is .010-.012" larger in diameter at the base than the 405 WIN so you can't form cases from it.

You can form "short" 405 cases from 30-40 Krag brass by necking it up. They'll be about .270" shorter than real 405 cases. Adjust your loads accordingly if you seat the bullets to the cannelure.

How did the Jamison 405 brass work out?

The 405 Winchester is a rimmed case. So, no 30-06 can't be used. You may be thinking of 400 Whelen, 400 Brown/Whelen or 400 Hawk.

Worked out fine. Bought 100 pcs of Hornady 405 brass from Gary Reeder awhile back. Hornady has done a couple special runs for him.
