I was wondering if anybody's loading this bullet? What is your exact load? What is your velocity and accuracy??? thank you very much.

If you load the 130 ttsx I would be interested also.
I loaded these up awhile back. Barnes 129 LRX RWS cases BR2 COAL 3.2885" (I was in a mood!) H4350 55.3gr I never clocked it Pard, Sorry. I got way less than 3/4" with 4 rounds. Nice rounded group. I use a FCD into the last groove before the ogive, they liked to jump in this Kimber! smile

Jim,

Why the crimp with the H4350?

Sellier & Bellot new brass
CCI BR-2 primers
59,5gr of Vihtavuori N560
COL 3,38"
Blaser K95 single-shot
Average of two, four shot, groups: 0,63" at 109 yds (100 meters)
Compound eight shots 0,83"

Have yet to use them on game.

If you have any of it, I'd start around 59-60 grains of RL26 and stop around 3150-3200 myself Fotis. It's been really good with every other 130 I have tried.

60.0 gr H4831sc with the 130 TTSX. Used the same load with the 129 LRX, but the 130 just shot better in my Kimber Montana.
Here were my results in my 1957 Win Mod 70 FWT with 22” (21.75” actual) barrel.

RL-26 (fairly hot lot)
Win brass / WLR primer
129 LRX
3.32” COAL / 0.061” jump
62.5 gr was right at 65kpsi per QL. No pressure signs.

Need to play with seating depths a little and maybe a primer change, as I’m not happy with the group sizes. ES not bad at 62-62.5 gr. This gun shoots other bullets at 0.75 MOA.

WW Brass
WLR Primer
3.265 OAL
61.0 Grains of RL26

Velocity right at 3100fps out of 22" Fwt Barrel. Will typically keep 5 inside an 1'', which is about all I can ask for.

Used the 110 TTSX for a few years, but then went this direction.

Thanks again
I have not tried the 129 lrx. I have shot the 110 and 130 ttsx both with N560 and accuracy has been excellent with Norma brass CCI250's or 210M primers CBTO was crimped in the shortest channel or somewhere around 2.650 crimped in a channel. For me 60.5 with a 130 was a sweet spot a little more with a 110. Can't imagine the 129 lrx being much different. Try it if RL26 doesn't work. I tried RL26 with the 150NPT and it's pretty impressive but that bullet is too much for the deer I hunt.

Good luck and Shoot Straight Y'all
Load used in a Weatherby Accuguard 24" barrel.

RemBrass
CCI 200
61.0gr. RL-26
129gr. LRX, 130gr. Partition, 130gr. TBT, 136gr. TLR and 130gr. Hornady SP bullets all hitting in the same POI at 100yds!
OAL 3.34"
3225 fps <1" 3 shot groups
I have a 5 shot group at home, one shot with each of the bullets listed above, that measures just a hair over 1.25".

Fotis,
I have not loaded the 129gr LRX for the 270, yet! I have 200 of them on the shelf and am going run it through the paces this year. H4831, Rel 26 and IMR 4451 are on the list along with Ramshot Hunter and Magnum. I expect great results in the 3100fps range.

Have loaded a bunch of the following three; the old style 130gr TSX with the sleeker ogive, current 130gr TSX, and the 130gr TTSX.

I have shot these bullets over 60gr H4831sc through many 270's. WLRM primer and velocity runs 3000-3050 in 22" barrels and right around 3100 in 24". Typically a rifle will like one or the other. I do have one rifle that prefers the GMX offering. These are standard ammo I keep loaded and on hand for any new 270 that might find it's way home. I am not a nitpicker when it comes to hunting accuracy and they easily shoot MOA if the rifle likes the bullet.

I do not think you will have problems finding a load combination that will work.

+1. I'd definitely start with RL26 then. I'm averaging around 3230 with or so IIRC with it in a 24" M70 and the 130 Trophy Bonded Tip with great accuracy.

We're probably in the same ballpark then. I get 3150 in my 22" P64 Featherweight. One of my favorite critter getters.

Yep, I'd have to dig up my data but I think that was with 61 or 62 grains. Great load.

Using the 60-grain load in my 24-inch barrel, my Hornady Interlocks mirror your results. I did not try my Re 26, as this is all that I need.

I always start with H4831sc with 130gr out of my 270 and typically do not need to go farther.

I really like Rel 26 with the 140-150gr.
