I am looking to start reloading 350 Legend

Components available are WW brass, Lee dies, Hornady 170 gr .355

I have Accurate 1680 Powder which was recommended but can't find any load data for this powder in 350 Legend

Am aware that IMR 4227, Lil Gun, 296 are recommended as well but can't find these powders so I'm working with the 1680

Anybody?
I've got one I haven't shot, but I bought it for the action... because I am going the other way with a 17 Fireball barrel to put on it...

Couldn't find ammo for it, so no brass, although I did pick up a set of dies for it...

I did find some load data on line, after looking around some...

1680 load data looked real good and so did 4227...and then I picked up a pound of Lil' Gun...

I'll do a quick search and will post up a link for ya if I can find it again.. all the above was 6 to 8 months ago
here ya go: try this page out

I've used 1680 with both a 357 Max and my 350 L. In my 2 examples I couldn't fit enough 1680 in either case with a 180 grain bullet to see any sort of pressure signs, at all, but easily exceeded 296 and Lil gun velocities; those two hit pressure issues well before a totally full case and 1680 velocities.

Anyway, I'd suggest starting at around 25 grains with a .355 180 (or your 170) and go up from there. My loads with 180s topped out over 30 grains and as said, compressed loads rather than any sort of pressure signs were the end point. I've found 1680 to give the highest velocity over everything else with 180+ bullets, but requires a lot more powder to get there compared to Lil gun,, 296, etc. Very accurate as well. Should work great with your 170s.

Barnes Bullets has come out with a new 170 gr FB all copper bullet, for the 350 Legend, and should be hitting their website any day now.

They also have load data. Call or email and they will share it with you.
Hodgdon 1680 Data w/180 gr WPP

Here's a link to Hodgdon's website. They show one load for the 350 Legend using AA1680 powder with a 180 gr Win PP bullet. Pressure is low (31,000 psi) at the listed maximum load of 27 gr. I'm working up a load with a different bullet but so far it appears case capacity, not pressure, is the limiting factor.
If you can find Lil gun you'll be happy you did
I had good results with I4227 but after my two pounds of it were gone I bought some 1680. Will be working with it soon but presently fooling with a 260 Remington trying to find the perfect load for hitting 3 inch targets at 500 yards.
