As the title states. Wondering how these work for you on big game and also accuracy. I found a decent deal on them and bought 500 to try in some new 270 win rifles:

Not looking for loads per se. Maybe some info on how far off the lands you guys are running them. Do they like more jump to the lands like the Nosler Accubonds? Thanks for any info you can share.

RL26 for 3100 fps
0.010 off lands if your mag well length can support it.
However, case mouth at middle of cannelure seems to work with most Hornady Interlock and SST bullets for me.
I shoot 140s in front of Hunter.
I’m around 3050 and moa out to 600. It’s more of a target round for me vs hunting. Seen too many mixed reviews on game. I use 130 ttsx on game.
But if you can get the 150s at 3100, that would be deer slaying machine
For [bleep] and giggles
55 gr of hunter, CCI primers, 2.665” base to ogive.

130 ttsx with 56 gr of hunter 3100 +/- fps.
BTO 2.670
Not what you are looking for, but maybe a helpful hint. This spring on a perfect overcast calm day, 6.5 Swede 96 bubba sniper, 140 SST, I put 5 shots in 5 1/2" at 600 yards. I don't chase jump dimensions unless necessary, and I seated these with the boat tail shoulder even with the neck shoulder...a big jump in a '96 Swede. I was going to try a ladder test, but stopped after firing the above group, first group, not counting foulers.

Very nice flintlocke. Great shooting. Was that with irons? "bubba sniper" probably meaning it was scoped?? I'd love to test my 96 out at 600, but I'm afraid my eyesight is not good enough for that anymore!!! So it appears that these bullets are not that jump sensitive. Your post reminds me that I tested the 140gr SST in my 96 swede as well. They seemed to shoot well, but not quite as well as the Sierra MK's or ELDM's. Thanks for your input buddy.. Oh by the way, I was out shooting at my new 1,000 yard range the other day and sent some to 600 on paper. Not with the 270 or 6.5 Swede, but with the Creedmoor. Was fun to see how the new 147gr load did in my back up rifle.

(5 shots into 2.9"). Same as 500 yard repair center. 1000 yard F class repair center.

I also got a good PM from my buddy keith. He basically told me to do what I was already doing, except try a different primer. I think I'll do that, but was hoping for a little better results. The magnum primer may be the ticket?? A little testing down at the range will confirm that.
They shoot well out of all three of my 270's. I usually try to seat pretty close to the lands if mag length will allow or otherwise seat as long as mag length will allow. To add I bought a bunch of them several years back as seconds from Midway and I have shot them at paper till I'm down to a couple boxes. They really do shoot tight groups. I also stocked up on Nosler seconds 130 and 140 grain partitions which I use almost exclusively when I hunt with a 270.

Cool, sounds good. I may have been thinking of the Hornady interbonds that were finicky on seating depth??

The 150 Interbonds in my 270's were amazingly inaccurate grin
My experience with the 270 leads me to think it is a very accurate cartridge.

Mine too, plenty power with little recoil. 110 pound granddaughter shoots a 270 with 130 grain Bear claws.
Dont like the sst or ballistictips in anything. Seen to deer that looked to be hit perfect that ran off who knows where. Seen some recovered that went a long ways before they died. Lead tips do a much better job
Interesting. My campmates and I have had very good success with both in several sizes.

6mm 95 grain BT and SST
6.5mm 120 grain BT and SST
.277" 130 grain BT
.308" 150 grain BT and 165 grain BT and SST (and 168 grain AMax for that matter)

Yeah, Keith says they are the “hammer of Thor” sometimes I scratch my nuts when sreshooter posts schidt. The SST is supposed to basically be a tipped interlock. Also 150 gr anything in the 270 is going to smack the hell out of schidt. I’ve used a lot of interlocks on critters and know they work. I guess correct me if I’m wrong
Never used the 150 SST, but we have a decent amount of hunting with the 150 Ballistic Tip from 270 Wins and WSMs. It’s elk worthy in my opinion.

Folks have mentioned the SSTs were toughened up some over the years, but I’ve got very little experience with them. We used the 150 SST on Idaho black bear from a 308, years ago and had complete pass thrus on two 250-300lb bears.
139SST at about 2975fps works great on deer in my 280.
