Anyone loading the Barnes 150 TTSX, if so what powder yall using? Got an excellent load for the 180, just don’t wanna use up all my powder on the 150.

I been there , gone try IMR 4350, just was wandering if anyone had any personal favorites.

83 gr IMR 7828, WLRM, RP brass works for me.

Seems kind of light for a 150.. I'm running 83.5gr of 7828 for the 175 LRX.

I do know that you can’t get 92 gr of mag pro in the cases, tried that, not without some type of case vibrator.

I've loaded 85 (for 3350 fps) and tried 86 gr with no issues. 83 is slightly more accurate in one of our 700s. 3250 fps is more than enough for whitetails out back. Both guns shoot 150 and 168 gr TTSX very well, but haven't gotten similar accuracy with the 175 LRX.

I'd load it for accuracy as well, just seemed kind of light. How far off the lands are you running them? Wondering if that may be some of the issue?

Am a mono newbie, so using Barnes recommended 3.56". Getting cloverleafs so pretty happy with it.

Only cup/core that's been in the same league from the two 700s has been....oddly?.....the 180 gr Rem PSPCL.

I use 86 grains of Reloader 22, great groups out of two 700 Classics

I worked up a mild load, about 3100fps, that was very accurate (1-1.25" 3 shot @100yd) for a weird Weatherby Mk V w/ a 22" barrel. I used H4831SC and Fed215 primers. Actually used the 150 TSX as this was pre-TTSX. I was close to the Barnes starting load. It has done the job for 3 California mule deer.
