Finally venturing over to the dark side. Picked up a LH Tikka T3x SL chambered 6.5CM a couple months ago. Ready to start loading for it. Bullet of choice will be 125gr Nosler Partition. Have sufficient supply of Varget, StaBall6.5, and H4895 on hand. Any preference between those three based on real world experience with the 6.5CM ?

This will be a "do all" load for a truck gun with a 1-6x scope on top. Goal is consistent MOA or better three shot groups at a less than book max pressure/speed.

Please and Thank you...
Varget
Staball 6.5
I’d try RL16

Did you read the OP?
Of the 3 powders you listed, I'd choose StaBall6.5, Varget, then 4895 and in that order. I say that because StaBall6.5 has proven to be a winner in both accuracy and velocity in 3 different creedmoors I've loaded for and it trumps Varget in velocity for every bullet I've tried with it. I realize velocity doesn't mean squat if it's not accurate, but StaBall6.5 is a great combo of both.
Based on my use of the 260, like a 223 case. almost anything will work well in either.

and then the NeedMore is suppose to even more accurate and less finicky...

this is one of those questions, that there really isn't a wrong answer. of the 3 powders listed tho, StaBall would also be my choice or first pick.
StaBall
i would try the powder that is easiest to get presently and that would be staball from what i can tell
Appreciate the input. Varget works really well for my .223 and .243 loads. I may start with the StaBall to conserve my stash of Varget. Thank you !
