Finally got a chance to get to the range and try the new 130gr Accubonds in my 264. This rifle already shoots 125 Partitions into about MOA and 140gr Sierra BT's into less than that, so I really didn't NEED to try the Accubonds, but I WANTED too....I'm sure you all understand! grin

Anyway, I started with IMR7828 because I have some on hand and it works well in this rifle with the Partitions.

64gr went into 0.94"; 65gr grouped at 0.61"; and 66gr opened up, due to 1 flyer to 1.2" All twelve shots would have been within 1.2.

The old 264 seems to have a reputation of being difficult to work with....but this one sure isn't. Can't wait to try these new bullets out on bamby....no doubt they will kill much better than the 125 Partitions. smirk
That sounds great. I 264 (win 70 classic) always exhibited great hunting accuracy. The only trouble was me figuring out it would not get the 3200 fps with 140's and the powders available in 1993, like so many people claimed for their's.

I hope the 160 AB's work as well in my 7STW.
gotta love those accubonds! i sur elove em thats why i shoot em in my 270 wsm, 270, 7RUM
southtexas,

There's no question you had to do it. It's why people climb mountains - because they're there.

In fact, I think the only good reason for the 130 AB's is the 264 Win Mag - I don't get enough velocity out of my 6.5x55 129g Hornady SP's to convince me I need a premium bullet.

Buy and shoot a lot of them, please. Maybe if they sell, they'll make something useful for the 6.5x55/260 crowd in 115g...
