Does anyone have or know where I could find 25 Souper reloading data? Limited info on the net, or they want an arm & leg for load data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

250AI data. Plus you could figure it out with 243 and 260 data.

I'll second the idea of using 243 and 260 data. It isn't too hard to fall in the middle of two sets of data. That, and use a chronograph to see when you're getting pretty close to max velocity. All I've ever used are 100 Hornady Spire Points in the 25 Souper with IMR 4350. That'll change soon as I'm moving all 4350 loads to the Hodgdon version of 4350 as soon as current supplies are used. I was also thinking of trying Ramshot's Big Game and loading a series of rounds until I get back to the velocity currently obtained with IMR 4350.

Definitely worth the money, IMHO. Particularly for cartridges that aren't in manuals, like the .338 Federal. Or .25 Souper.

The A-Square manual has some data. I have a 25Souper and use a 120 gr Sierra HPBT. I can give you my data if you want it.Rick.

The capacity difference is little between the 25-08 and the 250AI with a slight nudge to the 08.

What is that about 50 grains of water when filled to the base of the neck? Also, when you say 25-08 your meaning 25-308 correct?

Actually found Rockys article on the net yesterday and read it. Also found an article in my 1951 issue of American Rifleman by P.F. Lambert on the 25 Souper and gave some old load data with IMR 4320 and 4350.

Just out of curiosity, what velocity would one expect in a 100 gr TSX out of the 25 Souper?

PF Lambert is the one credited for the first chambering of the 25-308. I'd have to go back and look for the date, but it certainly was soon after the 308 was introduced.

I shoot 75 to 100 grain bullets in mine, and as mine is on a 788 action, I have to keep pressures down. So my velocities may seem a bit low to those with stronger actions. But that also means my loads are probably safe in any other rifle.

I can confirm that using 250AI, or 243 or 260 data with the appropriate bullet weights is both safe and effective, with the usual start low and work up procedure.

With 75 VMax:
42.0 of I4895 maximum in my rifle (3400 fps)
46.0 I4350 - 3350
43.0 RL-15 was too hot
42.0 4064 - 3400
43.0 Varget - MAX! 3500

With 65 Nosler:
40.0 I4895 - 3100 MAX
45.0 H414 - 3200 MAX
46.0 I4350 - 3275

With 100 Speer:
43.0 H414 - 3100
44.0 I4350 - 3050
45.0 H4831 - 3000
45.0 RL-19 - 3000 MAX!

SouthTexas, Yes, re-read the article last night by P.F. Lambert, and it was in a 1951 issue of American Rifleman. I can give you the month when I get home if your interested. Also, P.F. Lambert made his cases from 30-06. Great Old article by the way.

Mine has a 20"barrel and it performs very well for a whitetail rifle. I don't have the velocities with me at the moment but over 2700fps using IMR-4350. Got higher velocity with RL-15 but not as accurate.Rick.

43.0 grains of H-4895 under a 75-gr Hornady V-Max = 3,400 fps from a 22 inch barrel.
